Linux Desktop Apps Not Working

I’m trying to run the snap application on Xubuntu. When I log in with what I know is the correct password I get an error that it’s not correct. The terminal log shows this message:

Remote error from secret service: org.freedesktop.DBus.Error.AccessDenied: An AppArmor policy prevents this sender from sending this message to this recipient;

I’ve tried downloading the AppImage and I get a different error that doesn’t let me run that:

The SUID sandbox helper binary was found, but is not configured correctly. Rather than run without sandboxing I'm aborting now. You need to make sure that /tmp/.mount_BitwarMpZLhR/chrome-sandbox is owned by root and has mode 4755.
Trace/breakpoint trap (core dumped)

I don’t want to run the .deb as it doesn’t do updating.

To fix the snap: sudo snap connect bitwarden:password-manager-service
