iPhone app PIN unlock times out too quickly

My issue is around PIN code unlock timeout on the BW iPhone app:

If I login/unlock and set a PIN code, PIN unlock doesn’t last more than a day or two, after which I have to enter my master password.

I haven’t found any description of how long PIN unlock is supposed to last. But I think it should be more than a day or two.

This is the most annoying issue for me in BitWarden so I’m going to file a bug report.

The report will say, for the iOS/iPadOS BW app:

  • The PIN currently times out apparently randomly and definitely too quickly.
  • The app is missing a PIN timeout setting.
  • The help files don’t define what the PIN timeout period is.
  • Proposed solution: Add a PIN timeout option in the Settings. Suggested time range: 1 hour to 7 days.

Any comments before I do this?
