This is a weird case. On my iPhone, using the “Bitwarden Password Manager” app, log in using master password works but then it fails on the 2FA step.
- both log in and 2FA works for other Bitwarden accounts, but fails only for a particular account.
- All 2FA methods, including WebAuthn and email with one-time code, fail.
- 2FA works fine for this account if I use other platforms such as Windows 11 (web and app), MacOS, and even another iPhone.
- Rebooting iOS and re-installing the Bitwarden app did not help.
- On the same iPhone, if I log into bitwarden.com using a browser to the same account, both log in and 2FA work fine.
In other words, 2FA fails only for this particular “iPhone/app/Bitwarden account” combination.
Does the Bitwarden app cache any per-account data on the iPhone that is not removed even when the app is deleted?
Any other idea/suggestion?
