In Simplified Login Screen for SSO Users, hide / remove other options

In Release 2025.10.0 (October 15, 2025), the following feature was added:

Simplified login screen for SSO users: Members of organizations using the Require single sign-on policy will now have other authentication options greyed-out on the login screen, provided they’ve authenticated at least once on that device.

I’d like to request that the other authentication options be hidden/removed, rather than displayed greyed-out.

To users who aren’t familiar with what these options mean, “Continue” sounds like the best option. “Use single sign-on” sounds scary. So when they see that “Continue” is greyed out, they might think something is wrong and not know how to proceed.

Sure, there’s only one option available, so they’ll just click it, right? Sometimes. Maybe. Bueller? Bueller? If you read these forums, you’ll conclude “probably not.”

There is nothing the user can do to enable the greyed-out options anyway, so why show them at all?

We are working on a quick follow-up to this work to style the SSO button as a primary button, so users are further encouraged to click on it.

You can see in the pull request for that change we also evaluated implementing exactly what you are suggesting, and removing the other login options rather than showing them in an inactive state. However, we ultimately decided not to implement this due to concerns that the page would jump around as it loads in, causing users to click the wrong thing.
