First of all, thank you for the great work on Bitwarden — it’s an excellent tool that I regularly recommend.
I’d like to suggest a few improvements to make the user experience more intuitive and accessible, especially for less technical users.
On Android:
When creating a new login, the “Notes” field is hidden under “Additional Options”, which makes it easy to miss. For many users (especially non-technical ones), this adds unnecessary friction.
It would be very helpful to make the Notes field visible by default or at least easier to access. It’s an important field for storing things like specific login rules or useful reminders.
The search function does not seem to include the Notes field, unlike on desktop. It would be great to have consistent behavior across platforms.
On Windows (Desktop):
The Notes field does not automatically resize when it contains a lot of text. Having it expand dynamically would greatly improve usability without needing to resize the window manually.
General feedback: Bitwarden is powerful, but sometimes feels a bit too “technical” in its interface. A simpler and more streamlined UI, with important elements like the Notes field more visible, would make it easier for a wider audience to adopt.
Password managers are becoming essential tools, and improving accessibility and clarity would really help bring Bitwarden to more people.
Thanks again for your work, and I hope these suggestions are helpful.
Nevertheless, I’m going to close this request (with some delay for further discussion, if necessary) as feature requests have to be about (more or less) one specific thing only.
Otherwise, it’s not possible to interpret any votes. (and simple example: if a request would be about a feature A and a feature B, how should someone vote who would be in favour of feature A, but doesn’t want feature B under any circumstances? – But, in general, there are also other considerations like not mixing up several topics in one “discussion”/request, avoiding duplicates of feature requests, …)
So, please feel free to open new separate feature requests about one specific thing only. (and please search for possible existing feature requests, that may match your requests, first)
