Hello,
I don’t know if it’s the right place to report but I’ve a problem editing login field on mobile app.
If there are more characters than visible screen, I cannot scroll horizontally to edit the description.
I’m using pocophone x7 pro based on android 15 and the latest app version.
Apparently, there’s a workaround by popping up the IME (mine is Gboard) “Text Editing” tool, which allows scrolling with the cursor keys.
Once you scroll to the right, the left-edged text that’s no longer visible can’t be scrolled back to the left using the cursor UI element too. So, this may be a general bug in all text fields.
If you’d like this fixed, you might want to file a bug report at:
If you click on the edit field, there’s a cursor UI element (it looks like an inverted teardrop) that pops up underneath the line. Normally, you can drag this cursor UI element past the right or left edge, but you can’t here.
Thanks for this, though! I didn’t know that press-hold-dragging was possible.
@Neuron5569 I never noticed until now, that you can drag both (the text and the inverted “teardrop”). And that both behave differently. That is indeed … “interesting”.
Thanks for your replies.
I’m using SwiftKey but I’ve the same issue (I’ve tried GBoard but it’s the same).
I confirm the Neuron5569 workaround: if you highlight some words tapping and long press, you can scroll back and forth between highlighted words.
