Google Accounts Don't Prompt to Save

Hello,

I just stared testing Bitwarden with Chrome on WIN 11 and I have run into an odd problem with Chrome/Gmail accounts.

Bitwarden never asks me to save or add the password when logging into a Google account. I have to add them manually.

I have Bitwarden installed in a non logged in Chrome profile.

I did search the forum and I have the settings correct as per all the other forum posts. I also read one old thread that stated the Google entry fields aren’t actually recognized, but not sure if this is still the case.

I found the following info:

Is this really an issue that hasn’t been resolved in 2 years?

I can only post 1 link at a time:

@Compstuff Welcome to the forum!

Issue #759 is closed, and Issue #1620 is permanently left open because it serves as a catch-call that provides a link to the web form used to report failures of the prompt to save a login.

There are no standards for login form design, so there will always be some websites where Bitwarden (or other password managers) have trouble identifying the form as a login form. To notify Bitwarden of such websites (so that they can develop fixes), you can use the form. The fact that Issue #1620 has been open for 4 years only means that Bitwarden has provided this streamlined method of reporting failures of prompts to save a login for since 2021.
