If auto-fill worked I would not care so much (Firefox on Windows) but since it does not and I have to manually click “Fill” on the extension, the fill button is small. The old U/X clicking on the Site would fill in, now it opens the edit window. I preferred the old way since most of the time I am filling, not editing. It also seems to take more clicks to get to secure notes than before.

If you are on Firefox, you might already have extension version 2024.12.4 (if not, then you can trigger the update manually). Here you can get back the old auto-fill behaviour by: Settings → Autofill → Click items to autofill on Vault view
PS: I changed your post from “Feature Request” to “Ask the Community”, as I didn’t see another concrete request - and this one was already implemented. I hope, this is okay for you.

Wow, that is great (and np changing the type of post). Now if it would only auto-fill on its own when I am on a login screen!
I agree, the new UX generally looks nice but is more cumbersome to use in the browser extension. My biggest complaint is that the fill feature is a small button rather than the entire element like it was before.
That functionality would have to be set up here: Settings → Autofill → “Autofill on page load” (if you check that and then choose “Do not autofill on page load” in the dropdown, that means, that you can then decide for every login item separately, if it shall show up automatically or not (instead of showing up for every login item)… you would then have to set that up for every login item, that you want automatically be filled, since the default for every item is then “No” until you change it).
Incredible! Came here to complain about this today, and it’s already fixed. Shouts out to the dev team for listening to community feedback and implementing feature fixes from that feedback.
