Yes, it is normal. While offline, the clients work in a read-only mode, even if that isn’t obvious from the get-go.

Thank you for the quick answer. Good to know. Recommendation: It would be helpful for users to get a clear reason why it is not possible to edit the item(s) - instead of a “Failed to fetch”.
