I had to use the method mentioned above to get it updated. That was on October 14th.
My Chrome extension wasn’t updated yet as of yesterday (Oct. 18), until used the Developer Mode method to force an update.
I uninstalled and reinstalled and it updated. It wasn’t updating automatically as other extensions do.
Now everything ok.

I noticed this a while back and was thinking which app is squirrelling away my master password or PIN??? So I’m glad someone else has logged it and a fix was forthcoming.
But it’s just happened again on FF 108.0.2 with BW extension 2022.12.1.
Should it be fixed in this version?
