i installed the Bitwarden Windows Application on a virtual Windows machine for testing purposes.
Sadly I cant login in because I always get the error message “Username or Password is incorrect try again”
Im able to login over the Web into Bitwarden, on the virtual Machine and also on other Devices.
I dont have any ideas what could be the issue so any tips would be helpfull.
This could be a variety of issues, but one I’ve personally run into before is having the VM’s default keyboard set to a different keyboard layout than my local machine. You should be able to verify that you’ve entered the right password by using the eye icon to view it. You may also want to check for any additional spaces.
You may also want to confirm that you’re logging into the correct account - the desktop app allows for account switching, so if you have used a different account in the desktop app in the past, it may be asking for that other account’s master password. If that’s the case, you will see the account below the master password field:
I double checked that the keyboard has the same layout as on my local machine. I verified it by looking at it and also copy pasted the password from a successful login on my browser.
I only have one Vault and i also checked if the right account is “locked”
Sadly the issue still happens.
Cam i maybe ask if the Support is free or how much it costs? Thanks in regards
