Bulk move items not in a collection, to a collection?

It seems that entries that are not assigned to a collection are no longer visible until they are assigned to a collection. I have a lot of these. How can I bulk assign these to a collection?

I tried the Admin Console → Collections → Unassigned and it is empty.
