Browser slow down in complex pages

I have an intranet CRM system that makes heavy use of ExtJS, this has not been updated for a while and on recent Bitwarden extension running on Chrome and Firefox and Edge this page took a massive hit on performance.

There’s an ExtJS grid which without the Bitwarden extension works smoothly, as soon as I enable the extension the grid starts dragging, changing the selection from one row to another takes minutes, if I disable the extension is all back to normal again.

My settings are:

Autofill on page load: Disabled
Show suggestion on form fields: Disable

Not that it matters but I’m a subscriber btw, might have to move back to Roboform if this issue persists.

A few things to try:

  1. If you exclude the domain for your CRM, does performance return to normal?
  2. Does it help to set the URI match detection to “host” or “starts with”, so that it only matches the login page itself?
  3. If you turn off all your other extensions, does that change things?

@Paul_F For best results, try putting the FQDN of the CRM on both the block list (Settings > Autofill > Blocked Domains) and on the exclusion list (Settings > Notifications > Excluded Domains).

Adding domain to blocked domains “fixes” it, this obviously should not be necessary the CRM worked fine before with Bitwarden.

I don’t know what you guys have been doing to this extension but it keeps getting worse every update, there is already enough hate in the Chrome extensions page but it keeps going down hill.

Don’t blame us!
