Thanks for the feedback! Currently the individual plan is 1.65 a month or 19.80 a year, and if you prefer, we still offer one of the best free plans (no limits to number of passwords or devices) and includes access to the standalone authenticator app.
Iāve been a Bitwarden premium user for a few years, and I was disappointed to find out about this from Hackernews a few months late. The main value I get from Bitwarden, other than features like Yubikey support, is trust in the service. I donāt monitor the blog as Iām happy with the current product, and I would expect notifications about billing matters to be notified via email promptly (once they are known, not 15 days before renewal). Iām also disappointed by the fact the price change was ācoveredā by ānew featuresā, which other users also already said theyāre definitely not worth the price hike (while I still think Bitwarden itself is worth the new price!)
As I am currently evaluating Bitwarden for use within my company, I sincerely hope future communication will be more transparent and proactive than this, as this event has slightly eroded my trust in Bitwarden.
A 300 % price hike from the 2019 family subscription is wild
And I donāt need a single one of the new āfeaturesā.
Hey @Carbonic thanks for the feedback, and let me know if you have any other product questions while you are evaluating Bitwarden for your company.
@quizzical_joliot depending on the number of collections you need, we continue to offer free sharing for two (no limit to number of passwords or devices).
