Bitwarden autofills incorrectly in email, password, and TOTP fields—for Patreon.com, Bitwarden community, syncromsp.com, etc—possibly since 2026.3.0+

When I login to Patreon’s website – and only Patreaon as far as I can tell – the password that Bitwarden enters is not correct. I can’t tell what password is entered because there is no reveal option on the Patreon login page. If I accept what Bitwarden enters, Patreon says I entered the wrong password. If I copy the password save in Bitwarden and paste it in the password field, I am able to login.

I tried to login to other website to see if this problem happens. The other websites I tried did not have the problem.

The password that is entered is longer than my actual password. I can tell because the number of dots that appear in the password field are longer than my actual password.

Hm, just a short comment: actually, I can reproduce that on Patreon.

No solution, but adding a note.

v2026.2.0 on Firefox is working on Patreon and community.bitwarden.com for me. Both the shortcut key and the Fill button work fine.

v2026.3.0 on Edge is somewhat broken on both Patreon and the community for me. The shortcut filled in a nonsensical email (where does that come from?) and doesn’t fill in the passwords at all. The Fill button fills in emails on both sites, not the password on Patreon, but it works fine on the community. There appear to be various autofill bugs filed, both that have been closed or not, including this one:

I figured out what was being filled in for the password. Bitwarden offered to update the entry in my vault for Patreon. I did that and looked at what ended up in the password field. What I found: my email address for my Patreon account.

I’ve been experiencing this for maybe 2 months-ish by now on Brave. I’ve tried cloning the item in my vault and recreating it from scratch but neither of those options worked.

The problem IS NOT the auto fill it is the version of Bitwarden. I downgraded Bitwarden down to 2026.2.0 and it is working perfectly fine! So this is a BUG with the latest release!

@molitar That is interesting, but I think I don’t follow your logic… because it still IS an autofill issue with the current version then. And best thing as always: report those issues via those Google forms.

(you can open a bug report on GitHub, but if they are about autofill issues with specific sites, they’re almost always closed – with a reference to using those Google forms)

Bitwarden no longer automatically enters TOTP when I am logging in to syncromsp.com. Instead of TOTP code, Bitwarden enters my email address for the account. Bitwarden filled in the TOTP code correctly a couple of weeks ago. New release of Bitwarden? I don’t know. Does it update automatically? I can copy the code from the extension and paste it in and it does provide the correct code.

For what it’s worth, the version info of Bitwarden extension in Edge is Version: 2026.4.1 and “Server version” (whatever that is) is 2026.4.2.

Same thing happens in Chrome. Same version of Bitwarden extension.

Is this the way to let Bitwarden know about these problems?
