@myrddin55 Welcome to the forum!

Are you talking about the BW desktop app or the BW browser extension? (or both?)

Anyway, it’s not Bitwarden that autofills your master password. On the browser extension, it probably is your browser that autofills it.

@myrddin55 Welcome to the forum!

In your browser extension, do one of the following:

  • Go to Settings > Autofill > Blocked Domains and add the domain vault.bitwarden.com (or vault.bitwarden.eu, if that is where your account is hosted) to the blocked domains list.

  • Copy the expression >login.uris:*.bitwarden.* into the search bar, and then look through the search results to find all items that contain your master password. Edit each of those items, to change the setting for the “Autofill on page load” option (just below the :plus: Add website link in the “Autofill Options” section) so that it is set to “No”; don’t forget to Save the changes.

If neither of the above methods solve the problem, then the issue is not caused by Bitwarden (more likely, you have not disabled the browser’s native password autofilling functionality).

If you have saved the items while the master password was in the authenticator key field, then there is no automatic method to remove these values. You might be able to do it by exporting your vault contents, manipulating the exported data, purging your vault, and re-importing the modified data.
