Append URL domain to generated usernames and passwords

Fairly simple, I’d like to be able create a custom template, with some special strings that replace, so that email addresses and passwords can be generated with some linkage back to the login site/app.

For example:

Site: Google.com

Username: steven+google@domain.com

Password: h5F72l£bE4:GOOGLE

This would make it easier to work out which services leaked a personal detail without needing much investigation.

I did a search and nothing like this popped up, but happy to be told I’ve missed it.

A post was split to a new topic: Non-ASCII characters in password?

With regards to the username generator, the absence of this feature might be a bug. According to the documentation, when the username generator is set to generate either a “plus-addressed” or “catch-all”, you are supposed to be able to have the option to generate email addresses that contain the domain of the login’s URI.

I do not get this option on the Android app, it just auto fills with random generated strings.

According to the documentation, the option to append the domain name to the username is available only in the browser extension and in the desktop app, but at least in version 2025.10.0, I have confirmed that the documented option is no longer available.

Edited to Add:
Looks like this functionality was lost already in Version 2025.2.1. This has been reported as a bug on Github (Issue #13899), but there has been no movement on this bug report since March, 2025.

P.S. I have changed your Feature Request topic title to be more specific (old title was: “Username and Password Generator Custom Templating”; new title: “Append URL domain to generated usernames and passwords”).
