i know that there are setting in desktop app that aren’t in browser extension, but is there a reason to have the desktop app running all the time? or will BW work ok without it ?
Extension will work without it but those special settings will not.

Using windows hello to unlock the vault is one I can think of off the top of my head.
Perhaps. but windows hello isn’t working to unlock the vault even with the app running. the browser ext. keeps giving an error about it not being turned on in the desktop app.
