– allow multiple entry selection so those entries can be bulk moved to a different folder
– allow groups to be flagged hidden
– allow direct editing of entries vs switching to edit mode, making the edit then saving
– allow subfolders

Please only include one “thing” in any given feature request. Multiples in one feature request makes it impossible for someone to vote for one thing, but not another.
For example, I could be convinced to vote for hide an item. The term we use for this on the community is Archive Items. As luck would have it, this is on the roadmap, meaning that the developers currently are working on it.
On the other hand, I absolutely would not want the the “view item” mode to be eliminated in favor of always going directly into edit item. It makes it entirely too easy to accidentally make a change to a vault item, when I was just trying to use it for something like autofill.

And I can only second @DenBesten’s post – feature requests have to be about (more or less) one specific thing only.
Furthermore, we try to avoid duplicate feature requests. And I think, some of your suggestions already exist as feature requests:

For all those reasons, I’m going to close this thread (with some delay that allows further discussion, if necessary). Please join those other feature requests, if they match – otherwise feel also free to open new feature requests, but only about one specific thing at a time.
