I have a couple of questions regarding Addy.iO API keys.

  1. Can I use the same API key in the app across multiple devices - mobile device, laptops and desktops - operating systems - Linux, Android, Windows - and/or browser extensions - Firefox and Chrome based?

2.If not, will it have to be a different key for each device/app/browser combo?

For what is worth, i am using DuckDuckGo API key for email generation, and I am using the same one for all devices

  • 2x laptop
  • 10x browser
  • 1 android

An important mention I have: please save your API key as a ‘login’ entry in bitwarden for quick access because BW (browser and android) keeps losing the key, so i need to copy and paste the key again from time to time.
How often does this happen: Once a month? Once every 2 months? Around that period.
This ‘lost your API key from configuration’ issue is happening for me for more than a year.

I contacted the person behind this service and he recommended a different API for each device, named appropriately.
