FIDO U2F keys are being phased out in 2025 - make sure to replace those in time

It does seem so. In case my first test with two YubiKeys that support FIDO2 but had it disabled wasn’t reliable.

I did another test with an old YubiKey NEO (bought on 2015):

$ ykman info
Device type: YubiKey NEO
Serial number: ***
Firmware version: 3.3.0
Enabled USB interfaces: OTP, FIDO
NFC transport is enabled

Applications    USB             NFC
Yubico OTP      Enabled         Enabled
FIDO U2F        Enabled         Enabled
FIDO2           Not available   Not available
OATH            Disabled        Enabled
PIV             Disabled        Enabled
OpenPGP         Disabled        Enabled
YubiHSM Auth Not available Not available

As you can see, it does not support FIDO2, only U2F.

Well, I added it to a test bitwarden account and I’m unable to see any indication at all on the web vault telling me that this key will be phased out:

EDIT: And now that I think about it, I shouldn’t even had been able to add it!

@Micah_Edelblut, am I missing something?

Thanks!
