Configuring Bitwarden from the beginning

OK, we have some more sleuthing to do. It is possible that the URL values in your Lastpass export were corrupt.

Go to one website for which you have an account saved in your Bitwarden vault (choose a website for which you don’t mind publicly disclosing that you have an account there).

While on the website’s login page, open the browser extension, search for the saved item in the vault, and click on the item in the search results to view the details. Scroll down to the bottom, and click on Auto-fill and Save:

Now, please answer these questions:

  1. Did the saved username and password get auto-filled into the login form on the website?
  2. Do you now see a number on the Bitwarden browser extension icon.

Please note that it I am asking these questions to try to diagnose the problem; I am not (yet) suggesting that the procedure above should be used to “fix” the issues with your vault.
